Fellow questers, the shadows are gathering once more…
First and foremost, I owe you all a sincere apology for being so lax with these newsletters lately. Between switching from Patreon to wordpress, a difficult bout of illness and the incredible joy of welcoming a new grandchild into the world, my schedule has been completely upended. Thank you so much for your patience during this chaotic season of my life! Moving forward, I promise you will receive one newsletter from me every single month.
I also want to assure you that even though I have been sick and had a lot going on behind the scenes, I have still been hard at work on the world of Einarth. In fact, my time away has led to a massive creative breakthrough.
I have decided to completely revamp Codex Arcanum to give it a much darker tone. As I was deep into writing Book 2, Edge of Destruction, the true scope of the devastation unleashed by Ungci and the Naga legions made me realize that this story is significantly darker than I first thought. To properly capture the cataclysmic stakes, the moral gray areas, and the brutal reality of ancient blood magic, Book 1 needed to be revised to reflect that impending darkness.
I am thrilled to announce that I will be releasing these newly revised chapters weekly on Ream! Here is how the release schedule will work starting today:
- Wardens of Einarth: If you are a paid subscriber in the Wardens tier, you receive access to the very first chapter today, March 16th! You will continue to get a brand-new chapter delivered to you each week.
- Ream Followers: If you are a free follower, you are still coming on the adventure! You will receive access to the first 10 chapters exactly two weeks after the Wardens get them.
- Note: To read the entire book beyond those first 10 chapters, you will need to upgrade and become a Warden.
Lastly, please remember to watch the blog weekly! I will be posting regular extras, deep-lore dives, and bonuses exploring the immersive world-building and history of Einarth.
Thank you all for sticking by me and for your incredible support as we venture into this darker, more epic version of the story.
Stay brave,
Cole
