What is an Advance Review Copy?
An Advance Review Copy, or ARC, is an early version of a book that is provided to select readers before the book’s official publication date. As an ARC reader, you’ll receive a free digital copy of the book in exchange for providing an honest review.
ARCs are an important part of the book launch process, as they help to generate buzz and build early reviews for the book.

What’s Required:
If you’re selected to be an ARC reader, here’s what we’ll expect from you:
Provide an honest, unbiased review: We want your genuine thoughts and opinions on the book, both positive and negative.
Post your review on Amazon and Goodreads by the deadline: You’ll need to submit your review to goodreads by the agreed-upon date, which is typically 2-4 weeks before the book’s official release, and on Amazon within 3-4 days after the release.
Amazon and Goodreads both require a headline, a star rating and at least 20 words.
You are required by the FTC to disclose that you are reviewing a free copy of the book.
Please include the following disclosure either at the beginning or end of your reviews:
“I received this book for free from the author and am voluntarily leaving this review. Thank you to Cole Tyler for the free copy.”
How to Apply for an ARC
If you’re interested in becoming an ARC reader for my new novel, please follow these steps:
Complete the application form: Provide information about your reading habits, review experience, and social media presence.
Submit a writing sample: Share a previous book review you’ve written to demonstrate your reviewing skills.
Agree to the terms and conditions: Confirm that you understand and agree to provide an honest, unbiased review of the book.
The ARC program is limited, so applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. If your application is accepted, you’ll receive instructions on how to access your advance copy of the book.
